A. desertorum Stapf. in Denk. Akad. Wiss. Wien, Math.-Nat. Kl. 51: 302 (1886). Syn: A. minimum Willd., Sp. PL 3(1): 464 (1800) p.p. non L.; Psilonema minutum (Willd.) Schur, Enum. PI. Transs. 62 (1866).
Annual, stems up to 20 cm. Indumentum of sublepidote stellate hairs with many short rays. Racemes elongate and cylindrical. Pedicels suberect to spreading and horizontal, with strigose indumentum. Petals (1 .5-)2-3(-3-5) x 0.5-1 mm, entire or emarginate, pale yellow. Fruits ovate to orbicular, emarginate, glabrous, (2-)2.5-4 mm long and wide; valves equally inflated at the centre, with ± flattened margins. Styl'e glabrous, 0.4-1 mm. Seeds narrowly winged.
