C. karakuschensis Grossh. in Izv. Akad. Nauk Azerb. SSR 1-2:118 (1939). Ic: Fl. URSS 24: t. 26 f. 2 (1957). Figure 1, p. 31. Like C. hakkiarica but stems usually not so slender; leaves not always glabrous on both sides, dentation coarser, lamina usually more attenuate into short petiole; flowers ½ as large; calyx lobes often with revolute, slightly dentate margin, appendages short, 1 mm; corolla ± ciliate on veins outside, dark blue. Fl. 9. Limestone rocks, crevices, 2900-3000 m. Described from Transcaucasia, Nakhichevan: Mt. Karakusch. S.E. Anatolia. C9/10 Hakkari: d. Hakkari, Gelo Dar (Cilo Da.), 2900-3000 m, Nábělek 2137! 2142! (both syntypes of C. bornmuelleri Náb.). Transcaucasia, N.W. Iran. Ir.-Tur. element. (See notes on C. hakkiarica.) Closely allied to C. bornmuelleri Náb. from S.E. Anatolia but differing in some morphological characters: flowering stems 1-4-flowered, calyx lobes erect, capsule usually ± erect. Variable in habit, indumentum and length of calyx lobes. The capsule seems to be rarely nodding. |
