Balb ovoid, 1-1.2 cm diam.; outer tunics blackish-brown, fibrous. Stem 6-18 cm, slender, curved. Leaves 1-3, filiform, c. 1 mm broad, nearly as long as stem; stems, sheaths and leaves pubescent. Valves of spathe very short, much shorter than umbel. Umbel 2-3 cm diam., lax. Pedicels subequal. Perianth broadly campanulate; segments pinkish-mauve, broadly obovate, 3 mm, subacute. Filaments 1.5 x as iong as perianth. Style exserted. Capsule globose-depressed, c. 3 mm, included within perianth. Fl. 6. Among rocks.
Type: Turkey C8 Mardin: Mardin, in saxosis Mt. Notre-Dame, prope Deir Zafran, 19 vi 1888, Sintenis 1169 (holo. LD! iso. WU!).
Endemic. Ir.-Tur. element. Known only from a single gathering. Closely allied to A. stamineum and A. armenum, differing from both in the fibrous outer bulb tunics, pubescent stems, sheaths and leaves.
