B. kurdistanica Feinbrun in Pal. J. Bot., Jer. Ser. 1:381,t. 19 f. 16(1940). Map 44, Leaves 5-6, longer than scape, outer one (6-)14-17(-20) mm broad, margin glaucous, shortly ciliate. Scapes l-2(-3), to 30 cm. Raceme ellipsoid to cylindrical, axis violet. Pedicels c. as long as perianth, soon elongating, patent at first then arcuate, violet. Flower buds greenish-white with purplish tinge. Perianth greenish-white, violet towards base, becoming pale grey-brown, (8-)9-l 1 mm, tubular-campanulate, lobes c. 1/2 x tube. Fruiting raceme cylindrical; pedicels to 2 cm, arcuate. Valves of capsule (10-)12-13 x 9-10 mm, suborbic-ular or broadly ovate, retuse. 2n = 16. Fl. 5. Steep, loose slopes.
